We should be on the lake on Sept.23. Spending a week at the Horseshoe. Hopefully there will be some fish biting.

Go get 'em Grouch!

My buddy had his annual fry Saturday and I'm doing a fishfry this Friday--so you know we are gonna have to go back next year to replenish our stock.

Best of luck....and how about some pics this trip?

4 days of rain then 3 days of sun. Caught plenty of perch and some walleye. walleye were down 40 feet, pretty tough.
Caught some rockies - ate them. Hope to get back next May

Sorry Gene, we didn't take pictures, someone might recognize us.

I didn't know that our cook had slipped in some rockies with our perch. Kind of tasted funny, sort of blah.
Now looking forward to next spring.

Yeah, next Spring is probably gonna be it.
We have started closing up my sister's trailer and covering our boats for winter.

BUT my buddy is talking about MAYBE making a trip to the Wolf River-maybe I'll get to tag along. Laughing
