Northern Pike will eat almost anything. I recently had a northern attack my transducer when I was ice fishing. It ignored my smelt 4 feet below it...and took my puck transducer.

I've heard hotdogs being used in a pinch...but in general any long-thin bait will work.

They are not tackle shy. Northern Pike will not shy away from noise-in fact they will be attracted to the commotion.

In short, don't worry about spooking northern pike-they just don't care.
