hey guys be very careful on the ice on Pelican Lake in Pelican Township North of Brainerd Mn. The first Ice Heave going out of the south landing off of county road 118 there is an area of open water and thin ice that is very diffucult to see during the evening hours. We just had to pull our sons dakota pickup out of the lake luckily there were two layers of ice and he did not go completly down. they were wet and a bit shook up but otherwise okay. A special thanks to K. Smith for the warm fish house and the ride to bring the boys home safely.

We went last sat. and we stayed all day. We got four bites and we caught one small perch. we went on the east side of the lake. I recomend not going during the day because it seems that the traffic slows down the bite.

Hey, I'm going to be in Duluth, MN the last week in June, 2003. If anyone knows how the fishing will be, please let me know. Where is there to fish besides Lake Superior? Are there any smallmouth streams, walleye lakes, etc? Please let me know. Thanks for your help.

Denny, just wondering what thier reputaion for service is. We got bit last year with really poor accomodations, and we are not high maintinance by any means. Sounds like a few other people got less than they expected from the notes on this board. The fish catching part is as much luck as anything, but is does help when the resort keeps the houses on fish. Just wondering if anyone had rented thier sleepers before and what they thought of them. thanks, matt

Matt, I've not heard much about the Warf, I guess the fishing has been alright in that area... if you stay away from the large groups of houses. If you go send a comment out and let us know how it is. In the past when I have fished in that area I stayed at Flag Ship, the houses were alright didn't catch a thing. Good Luck, I'm heading up on Sat. and staying until Sun night.

Fished the southeast part of the lake last night. We saw many walleye and caught our limit of bottle bass. Also three 19 inch perch at 12:37 pm. Mom called at 1:00 and said I had to come home for "the feeding". Plan to go back out again tonight

Anyone looking for a fishing guide in the Grand Marais area For the spring and summer of 2003 I think I can help. I will be in the area a few weeks this year and can put you on some great walleyes and some nice rainbows. Reasonable rates and alot cheeper if you bring your own boat. with out a boat I can only serve two persons a day. Rainbows during the afternoon and walleyes in the evening. leaves your whole morning to explore the area and spend some time in town. My E-mail address is Walleye_Man_825@Hotmail.com . feel free to contact me and i'll see what I can do for you.

Looking for advice on where to go around the Battle Lake/Clitherall area. Looking to catch walleyes and crappies, but if the bite is hot for something else, I'd go there.

Thanks,
