I'm going to be taking a fishing trip to L.O.W. on March 7th-10th with 4-6 people. I was wondering where the fish usually are hitting that time of the year and where I can rent a sleeper in some good water. I went last year in March and had a pretty good trip but was put mainly on perch and some small saugers. I was hoping to fish walleye/sauger mainly and an occasional perch would be nice. It will be my dad's and brother's first time to L.O.W. so I really want to make it a good trip. Obviously the fishing isn't always great, but I'm just curious what resorts are reliable and consistent in putting customers on the fish. If you are a resort owner, please reply to my e-mail address above. Otherwise any info. is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is for Kev heading to Arnesons. Been going for ten years, you'll never find a better resort for getting you on fish. If you show them you know what you're doing they will try to keep you in fish. Danny and Albert are probably the two best guides or drivers. Dad and friends will be up there this weekend. Good luck.

Robert, with your Vexilar most of the spots you will be fishing we have a mud botton but I found if I turn my gain up alittle higher it will give me a true reading, after setting you depth just lower your gain again, if you get anymore questions just email me I'll be happy to help.

VEXLIAR? Turn the GAIN down to 0, Then SLOWLY Turn up the GAIN until you start to SEE your JIG At that point you will See some fish. The reason this happens is that your unit is stationary and the signal is pulsating back and forth to the bottom so fast it creates a double ECHO. GOOD LUCK

Fished out of Randall's Resort on 1-17 and 1-18. Lot of little walleye and sauger but still got our limit both days. Caught and released 2 eyes over 24". Total catch for the 2 days was over 100 fish for 3 anglers. Fished in 30 ft. about 5 miles out of Zipple Bay. Gold and white on pink seemed to be the best. See you in May for the PWT.

Question for vexlar pro's

I noticed that when my lure gets close to the red line marking bottom, it disappears and it is still 6 to 12 inches to the true bottom,

Question, is this because the bottom is muddy, and should I set my line by "true bottom" or what the vexlar is indicating bottom.

Thanks for any replies.

Where they bitting, (just kidding)

Went to 5 mile reef out of warroad today fished in about 25 ft watter, NOT ONE BITE!

Well, sometimes you win and others you lose. Worst part is that I took my wife up, now she is convinced that my fish stories are nothing but tall tales....lol

Well, it seems that the Eyes have moved to deeper water, going back next weekend to make up for this weeks failure.

Good Luck to everyone. I left you lots of fish to catch!
