Minnesota Lake Evergreen Lake
Hubbard County From the Minnesota DNR: Evergreen Lake is located eight miles north of Lake George in northern Hubbard County. Evergreen Lake has a surface area of 200 acres and a maximum depth of 38 feet. Bulrush beds ring most of the lake and dense stands of submerged aquatic vegetation are found in the shallow, shoreline areas. A county-owned public access with an earthen ramp is located on the north shore of the lake. There is one resort and 23 cabins and homes on the lake. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has classified Minnesota's lakes into 43 different types based on physical and chemical characteristics. Evergreen Lake is in lake class 31. Other area lakes in this same class include: Hattie (1 mile southwest of Evergreen Lake), Second Crow Wing, and Fifth through Eighth Crow Wing Lakes (southeast of Park Rapids). Evergreen Lake provides a diverse fishery to the angler, including northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and a bonus walleye population.
